Set in 19th century Texas, John Lear (Stewart) is a wealthy cattle baron with three daughters. In his later years Lear decides to divide his land up between his daughters resulting in disastrous consequences. Marcia Gay Harden, Lauren Holly and Roy Scheider also star.
