Kosten und Nutzen der dualen Ausbildung aus Sicht der Betriebe

The costs and benefits of training are central factors for companies deciding for or against an own company-internal training department. The Federal Institute for Vocational Training (Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung - BIBB) has conducted its fifth survey of over 3000 training companies and more than 900 non-training companies on costs and benefits of company-internal training, the employment of trainees after training completion and on training motivation for the training year 2012/13. The results of the survey are presented separately for eastern and western Germany, training fields and years, as well as company size classifications and professions. Extensive analyses inform about company-internal decision factors. The BIBB has been monitoring and analysing training decisions of companies with regards to economic aspects since 2000. This volume is the first to include a comparison of the three surveys between 2000 and 2013.
